Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel is a British actress who is best known for her role as Missandei in HBO's massive fantasies "Game of Thrones". (HBO 2011-19). Born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea, a beach-side resort town located in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn to acting from a young age. Nathalie's mother took note and started enrolling her in singing, dancing and acting classes when she was just three years old. Emmanuel became a very talented actress and singer. She was a part of young Nala on The West End for the stage production "The Lion King" in the late 1990s. Emmanuel began auditioning as a young teenager to film and television roles. She nabbed her first big breakthrough in 2007, when she was cast as Sasha Valentine on the British soap-opera "Hollyoaks" (Channel 4, 1995- ). Emmanuel played the part for four seasons, before going off the show in. Emmanuel received her major breakthrough on HBO "Game of Thrones" three years later, playing the character of Missandei. This role is the interpreter of Daenerys Targaryen's persona (portrayed by Emilia Clarke).
